Our Take
GoMax is designed around a specific problem: moving an infant seat among cars without carrying a separate base. Built-in rigid connectors can make those transitions much more convenient in compatible seating positions. We would choose it for frequent vehicle changes after practicing both anchor and seat-belt installation. It is less compelling for a family that always uses one installed base, where a lighter conventional carrier may be easier to carry. Check the exact approved installation method before each unfamiliar ride.
What we like
- Rigid lower-anchor connectors built into the carrier
- No separate base to move
- No-rethread harness
Worth knowing
- Rigid-anchor access and geometry vary by vehicle.
- Heavier than some conventional infant carriers.
