Our Take
Pico is a specialized travel seat for a child who is already appropriate for forward-facing and fits its short harness range. The 8 lb folding design solves a real airport and rideshare problem, but it is not a reason to turn a younger child forward early. We would compare the child’s seated shoulder height carefully: Pico can be outgrown before a larger conventional harness seat. Its premium price makes most sense for frequent travel, with a different everyday seat when that provides better fit and longevity.
What we like
- Very portable folding harness seat
- Air-travel-oriented design
- Small storage footprint
Worth knowing
- No rear-facing or booster stage.
- Current minimums are higher than older 22 lb/30-inch travel reviews.
